Week 29: ♫ It's a Typical Day... ♫

So nothing wild happened this week (except that I FINALLY went in and got the package that my parents sent me two months ago, and have been feasting on peanut butter ever since), so I thought I'd tell y'all what a normal day was like.

6:25 - Wake up and pray
6:29 - Pray specifically for the mission
6:40 - Start exercising. Generally this means stretching, mellow yoga, resting, and once in a while, on the really intense days, sit-ups or something.
7:10 - Shower and have breakfast! The food here isn't super different, so typically this means eggs or bread. We don't have a toaster, but we have this weird sandwich maker thing that you can put bread in which is basically the same thing. Also we eat a ton of fruit (I've fallen in love with goiaba) and tapioca (which isn't actually pudding; it's kind of like a tortilla, I guess, or a pale pancake).
8:00 - Personal study. We have a solid hour to study the scriptures, Preach My Gospel, and prepare intellectually and spiritually for the day. It's low-key my favorite hour of the day.
9:00 - Companionship Study. Here we share what we learned with one another and study together to prepare for the day.
10:00 - Language Study. Here I study Portuguese. It's awesome.
10:30 - Leave the house and start working. We talk to people on the streets and offer messages about Christ, and generally they pass on their addresses. We then go from address to address, meeting people and teaching. We testify about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the importance of faith, repentance, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and persevering until the end, the Plan of Salvation (including where we were before earth and where we go after death) and other topics depending on the needs of the people.
12:30ish - Almoço! Here we have lunch with the members and it's awesome.
After lunch we return to work and keep going until 9:00 at night. We then plan for the next day, have dinner, shower, and get ready for bed.
10:30 - Lights out.

Our days are packed full of lessons and miracles, and I'm learning a ton. I'm so grateful to be a servant of the Lord teaching and serving the people here in Brazil.

P.S. Send me that dream you had last night. You know, the one where you're looking for something and can't find it and there's a million people around trying to talk to you and you just want to find that thing but you don't know where it's at and you can't explain what it looks like and the people aren't helping and then you wake up.
I think it would be a good object lesson for the apostasy.
